About John McKenzie
John is an executive leader who started his career in representative and professional sports environments, this early exposure to leadership in high performance environments transferred directly as he ventured the business world. The following 10 years were spent in leadership and management roles with national and regional scope, implementing business wide systems in highly regulated environments.

John spent the following 10 years with Communities and Justice and most recently delivered executive management of the operation of $200m of infrastructure with over 400 staff where he delivered operational, physical and technical improvements. John delivered process improvements that optimised the speed of delivery for compliance reporting and rectification, Infrastructure projects to improve core operational outcomes, and business cases securing additional funding to deliver staff development and efficiency projects.

​Over the last 20 years John has trained in Mental Resilience, Coaching, Leadership, Negotiation, Business Continuity and Emergency Response along with his significant experience in policy and process review, and continuous improvement.

Additional to his role with x42, John is currently the President of the Hastings Early Interventions Management Committee (Early Connections Port Macquarie- Hastings) an ACNC registered charity and not for profit association that provides support for children and families who require paediatric allied health therapies in the Port Macquarie Hastings region.
